Filter recycling - British Berkefeld® Europe

Recyclable filters

The ceramic in your filters is recyclable, and that's no mean feat considering all the disposable filters that end up in our rubbish bins. When it's time to change your filter, all you have to do is remove the plastic end cap at the flat end of your filter, break the ceramic into pieces - with a hammer, for example - and throw the pieces into your compost! It's a simple and environmentally friendly thing to do.

What you're doing for the environment by recycling your British Berkefeld® filters

- Reducing waste: you contribute to this reduction by recycling and composting your filter elements. It's an important contribution to protecting our planet, while reducing your carbon footprint.

- Protecting watercourses: offering you pure water is all very well, but preventing watercourses from being polluted by filter waste is even better.

- Reduced energy consumption: conventional water filters require a significant amount of energy to manufacture and dispose of. By recycling your British Berkefeld® filters, you are indirectly helping to save energy, and that's good for the environment.

Any action that reduces our impact on the environment is positive.
