The capacity of each model corresponds to the volume of the lower tank. However, the upper tank is partially occupied by the filters, which reduce its space by approximately 1 liter per pair. Thus, the indicated volume represents the amount of filtered water that can be stored in the lower tank. Learn more

It is best to completely empty the low tank after 3 days, before refilling your system. If the water is kept cool, it can remain drinkable for up to a week. This is a precautionary measure. In fact, the filtration process eliminates the chemical agents that prevent the proliferation of bacteria. In humid, temperate environments, these bacteria can develop more quickly.
Following the manufacturer's advice, it is recommended that you clean your system once a month.
Filters - Never use a cleaning product on the filters. Remove the filters and scrub them with a scrubbing sponge under a trickle of cold water. Never boil your filters. Once cleaned, reinstall them, fill the top tank and allow some water to drain out before consuming.
Tanks - No aggressive or corrosive products should be used to clean the tanks, we recommend cleaning them with a mixture of household vinegar and lukewarm water. Filters should never come into contact with cleaning products, and it is advisable to remove them before cleaning your tanks to avoid any accidental splashes.
Always rinse your tanks thoroughly with clean water after cleaning.
Caution: never steam or boil your tanks.
It's best to fill the upper tank completely, to the brim, above the filters. Frequent partial filling will not optimise the life of the filters, and they will become blocked at the top, or even develop mould.
If you find that the water is flowing too slowly through your system, dismantle your filters and run them under the cold water tap, brushing them with a scrubbing sponge (such as Scotch Brite), without using any product. Then submerge the filters in water for around 2 hours.
Then reassemble the filters in the tank and allow the water to filter a little before drinking.
Giardiosis and cryptosporidiosis are two intestinal infections caused by protozoan parasites and transmitted mainly through contaminated water or food. They cause gastrointestinal symptoms, in particular diarrhoea.
Test results confirm that cryptosporidium and giardiosis are eliminated with British Berkefeld® purification elements at over 99.99%.
